Last summer my husband lost his job in the northeast with a company he had worked for 18 years. We as a family were faced with a huge decision and after careful consideration decided we needed a major change. It was very important that out children agreed with this very difficult but necessary change. Once we were certain that the entire family was OK with the decision we proceeded with our plans. My husband, my children and I decided to move to Arizona.
The first step was to find the right real estate agent to assist us with our very specific needs and limited budget. After extensive research we felt we found the right person at Re/Max Fine Properties. This person’s name was Terry S. Smith. We filled out all the necessary information on line and requested him to call us back. The very next day he did so. Terry took the time to listen and explain how things were different in the southwest and what we needed to know. We set up an appointment to meet with him in three weeks making a list of homes we had researched over the internet that looked promising. Terry met with us first and let us know which homes on our list were still available. He let us look at each home and let us decide for ourselves what worked and what didn’t. Terry also took us to look for homes on his day off. He took his time and carefully explained any questions we had concerning the area, schools, and prospective employment.
Terry kept in touch with us for the next three months while we sold our home. Once out home was sold Terry began e-mailing us a list of possible homes to purchase. There was one home that had all the amenities we wanted, including a great school system and was in move in condition that stood out from all the rest. That very afternoon Terry put together all the information we needed on the home and set up an appointment to do a video tour and send it to us. Once we saw the video we knew this was the home we were looking for. Terry told us it was in mint condition and built by a good builder in Arizona, as well as being in a great school system and close to all the stores and mall. No one could ask for more. We got the house with Terry’s top-notch real estate skills and professionalism. We felt like Terry really looked out for each family members needs and wants. He promptly returned our calls, giving us answers to many questions. He carefully listened to all our needs And fulfilled each and every one of them above and beyond our expectations. Terry has proven not only to be an “A” rated real estate professional but a valuable friend of the family. He saw to it that our rugs were professionally cleaned and out house was cleaned top to bottom before we moved in, a service I am certain no other realtor would take the time or pride to do..
